MCKENZIE, Tenn. (02.13.10) - The Bethel Wildcats picked up a much needed win defeating the Blue Mountain Toppers in a fast paced game 115-102. It was a physical game with 54 fouls and Bethel controlled the boards in the victory.
Bethel shot the ball well (55%) in the first half, but found themselves trailing 54-50 at the break. Bethel committed 15 turnovers to BMC's seven. The Toppers were also successful from outside hitting 7 of 19 from three point range.
Bethel made important adjustments and turned the ball over just eight times, but caused Blue Mountain to turn the ball over 15 times in the second. Bethel took seven more shots and got to the foul line 10 more times than the Toppers. It translated into the Wildcats scoring 17 more points in the second frame.
Donald "Trey" Harris scored 36 points to lead all scorers; he had seven rebounds and two assists. Andre Crudup added 22 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and two steals. Eddie King had 19 points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal. Gavin McDaniel had 11 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one steal. Daniel Doyle finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal.
