MCEKZNIE, Tenn. (02.18.10) - Bethel has nine runners that have qualified to participate in the 45th Annual Men's and 30th Annual Women's NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships. The Championships are March 4-6, 2010 at the Memorial Center "Mini Dome" in Johnson City, Tenn.
Senior and four time national qualifier Keith Hawkins will be running in the 60 meter dash. Joining him will be freshmen D'Angelo Gray and Brandon Cleaves.
For the second consecutive year, Deseray Washington qualified in the 60 meter dash and hoping to improve on her semi final appearance in 2009. Freshman Katrina Bettard also qualified and will run in the 60 meter dash.
For the first time ever, the women's 4x400 meter relay team has qualified. The team is Jasmine Yancy, Arielle Montague, Julie-Anne Blanc and Ronnika Garrett.
"I'm very proud of the team," said Head Coach Matt Aird. "I am looking forward to our team making a great showing at nationals."
