MCKENZIE, Tenn. (03.31.10) - The Bethel bowling program has added Bolton High School's Erin Wooten. She was the Bolton Wildcats team captain for two years and is the first bowler from Bolton to sign a bowling scholarship. She is the daughter of James and Diana Wooten.
 

Wooten has been bowling since she was five years old and played all fours years at Bolton. She is the president and secretary of her Saturday morning bowling leagues. While at Bolton she was the MVP two years. Her team qualified for sub-state her 9th and 12th grade years. She went to state her senior year as an individual. During her senior year she averaged 167 and had a high game of 267. She was also co-captain of the team for two years.

Wooten was named Who's Who Among American High Schools. At Bolton she was involved in FCA, Campus life and was a Freshman Mentor.

Wooten plans on majoring in Nursing and chose Bethel because it was close to home and it has a very friendly campus.
