CONWAY, Ark. (04.17.10) - The Bethel Lady Wildcats bounced back from a game one loss to hand Central Baptist College their first loss of the season. CBC was 40-0 before the Lady ‘Cats took game two of the twin bill. Bethel lost 7-0 in game one, but took game two 10-4.

Game One

The Lady ‘Cats were held to just one hit in game one with Kasey Winsett's double.

Leah Hensley went all six innings for Bethel. She allowed seven run on 11 hits, she walked three and hit a batter.

Game Two

Bethel completely reversed things in game two with 10 runs on 10 hits, including two home runs.

Bethel starting pitcher Katie Ervin went 4.2 innings allowing three runs on four hits; she struck out one. Ashton Carnahan came on in relief for 2.1 innings allowing just two hits and striking out two.

At the plate, Ashley Simmons was 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBI. Brittany Edmonds was 2 for 4 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored. Carnahan was 1 for 4 with two runs scored. Lindsey Davis was 2 for 4. Amanda Renfroe was 1 for 4 with a RBI. Shelby Cummings was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored.

Bethel is 19-22 (4-8) on the season. They will be on the road playing Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tenn. on Monday, April 19, 2010 with game time set for 3:00pm. The will be in Jackson, Tenn. on Tuesday, April 21, 2010 to play Lambuth University beginning at 2:00pm. They will return home to close out the season on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 2:00pm as they face Hiwassee College. Then will play their last regular season game on Saturday, April 24, 2010 as they host Belhaven University with game time at 12:00pm. Prior to that game, it will be senior day as Amber Metzger and Ashley Simmons will be recognized.
