JACKSON, Tenn. (04.21.10) - Bethel collected more hits in game one against the Lady Eagles of Lambuth University but did not get one when they needed it losing 1-0. But, the Lady ‘Cats did get the hits they needed in game two taking a 5-0 victory.

Game One

Bethel had six hits but could not plate a run in game one and Lambuth picked up their one run via a home run in the second inning; the Lady Eagles had four hits in the game.

Leah Hensley gave up one run on four hits, she struck out three and walked none in taking the loss.

Ashley Simmons was 2 for 3; Lindsey Davis, Katie Pacifici and Jennifer Townson were all 1 for 3; Brittany Edmonds was 1 for 4.

Game Two

Bethel made their hits count scoring five runs on five hits.

Ashton Carnahan scattered seven hits in picking up the win. She went 7.0 innings striking out six and walking none.

Shelby Cummings was 1 for 3 with two RBI. Amanda Renfroe was 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Edmonds was 1 for 3 with a RBI.

The Lady ‘Cats are 20-25 (4-10) on the season. They will play their last regular season game on Saturday, April 24, 2010 as they host Belhaven University with game time at 12:00pm. Prior to that game, it will be senior day as Amber Metzger and Ashley Simmons will be recognized.
