JO BYRNS, Tenn. (04.21.10) - The Bethel University Cross Country and Track & Field programs have added Jacob Reeves to the incoming 2010 signing class. Reeves, from Cedar Hill, Tenn., attends Jo Byrns High School and is the son of Chris and Cheri Reeves.

"We are very excited about Jacob choosing Bethe," said Head Cross Country Coach Brandon Kilburn. "He is an excellent student-athlete who will immediately help our team."

Reeves has run the past four years for Jo Byrns and has been on the track & field team the past two. He is the #1 runner in Class 1-A and was selected to the All-Mid-State A-AA Team. This past season he placed 8th at Regionals and was 18th out of 182 runners at the state championships. His best time in 5K was 17:20.

Reeves who plans on majoring in physical education is an excellent student. He was a Tennessee Scholar and has been on the Honor Roll all four years in high school. He was also considering Austin Peay but chose Bethel because he wanted to attend a school that will help him improve academically and athletically.
