On day one of the meet, Katrina Battard qualified for nationals in the 100M with a time of 12.37. Christine Campbell set a personal best in the Javelin taking third place with a throw of 28 meters.
Day two of the meet would see Bethel set more personal bests and have more qualify for nationals. Casey Carl took first place with a personal best throw of 54 meters. The men's 4x100 relay team ran a 41.48 good enough for second in the meet and sixth in the nation. Deseray Washington and Battard took second and third respectively in the 100M. Brandon Cleaves ran a 10.88 in the 100M to claim second place. Arielle Montague set a personal best of 57.49 in the 400M good enough for fourth and a spot at nationals. In the 200M, Jeremy Hunt ran a 21.89 to place second and earn his nationals trip.
"I was happy for all the runners and throwers that set new personal bests," said Head Track & Field Coach Matt Aird said. "I was so proud of the way they performed and very happy that all their hard work is pay off. I can't wait to head to Georgia Tech in two weeks to see how well we are going to run. We get better each week, so I'm confident that we will get a few more qualified for nationals."
