MCKENZIE, Tenn. (04.26.10) - Bethel's annual Spring Game was moved from Saturday to Monday because for weather concerns, but that did not keep away a strong crowd and some exciting plays. In an exhibition to show some of their hard work during the spring practice period, the Wildcats showed some positives on offense and defense.

The Bethel offense scored on the very first play from scrimmage, an 80-yard catch and run from Troy Watson to Jahron Reynolds. Reynolds also scored on a 61-yard touchdown pass from Will Masoud. The offense ran 12 normal possession and three redzone possessions. In all, the offense scored six touchdowns, two coming on the three redzone possessions.

Senior Josh Boyd and sophomore Cordarious Mann each had a good afternoon running the ball.

But it wasn't all offense. The defense was credited with four sacks and causing three turnovers.

The highlight for the defense was linebacker Matt Speed's interception at the goal line return for 100 yard touchdown.

Bethel opens the 2010 season hosting the fourth ranked Cougars of Saint Xavier University.
