MCEWEN, Tenn. (05.13.10) - The Bethel mane's basketball team has gotten a commitment for Walt Andrews for the 2010 class. Andrews played two years at McEwen High School and is the son of Cecil and Robin Andrews.

"We are excited for Walt to be joining our program," said Head Coach Jeff Britt. "He comes from a good family, is very coachable, wants to improve and has good size and continues to get better. I am looking forward to working with him for the years to come."

Andrews played his junior year and was a starter his senior year at McEwen. He was All-District and All-Region. He was fourth in scoring in the District and led his team in scoring and rebounding his season year. He scored 396 points, pulled down 284 rebounds and averaged 13.8 points per game in his two years of play at McEwen. In his senior year Andrews led McEwen to its first ever sectional game.

Andrews can score in the paint and is a good rebounder. He wants to improve his outside shooting and ball handling.

Andrews was also being sought after North Arkansas College, Volunteer State and Mid-Continent University.

Andrews will be majoring in History at Bethel.
