
MCKENZIE, Tenn. (05.27.10) - The Wildcats baseball team has signed Trey Tate to the 2010 class. Tate played at Gibson County High School and is the son of Tracy and Lynnette Tate.
Tate was a four year starter at Gibson County and played outfield and pitcher. Tate was 3-3 on the mound and hit .420 this past year; he was All-District and All-Tournament. He plans to focus on his pitching and wonts to specifically work on his control.
"We are excited about signing a local talent with Trey's ability of the field and in the classroom," said Bethel Head Baseball Coach Rusty Thompson. "We think he will be a big part of our team for the next four years."
He was a member of Beta Club at Gibson County.
