McMackin has started the past two years for the Mustangs in addition to playing AAU. He was All-District his junior and senior years and All-Region both his junior year. He also played in junior high and in Upward.

McMackin was considering UT-Martin and MTSU but decided he wanted to continue playing basketball. He will play in the Wildcats junior varsity team. He will major in Physical Education while at Bethel.
