MCKENZIE, Tenn, (05.27.10) - The Bethel baseball team has signed pitcher Cade Chambers to the 2010 recruiting class. Chambers played at Adamsville High School and spent last year at Walters State Community College. He is the son of Joe Chambers and Ginger Brown.

Chambers was All-District his sophomore, junior and senior years at Adamsville. He also earned All-State and All-West Tennessee his senior season. He was also District 15A Pitcher of the year his senior season at Adamsville. He teammates voted him Pitcher of the Year, Player of the Year and Team MVP. He holds Adamsville's all-time batting average at .439. His senior year, he hit .509; on the mound he sported a 1.44 ERA and struck out 93.

"We are very happy signing such a talented student-athlete," said Bethel Head Baseball Coach Rusty Thompson. "He was one of the top players in the state as a senior at Adamsville. Cade also did a great job at Walters State. The coaches think that he will step right in and be a big part of our team for the years to come."

Chambers was being sought after by Liberty University and WVU. He chose Bethel because he thought it was the best choice for him.
