Marion, Ind. (06.09.10) - The Bethel University 4x100 Meter Relay team garnered All-American honors at the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
 
Keith Hawkins, D'Angelo Gray, Chaz Dail, and Brandon Cleaves took sixth place in the 4X100 meter relay and set a school record as well as a personal record with a time of 41.01.

Jeremy Hunt made the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.87 but pulled his hamstring while practicing at the track in Indiana and could not compete. Brandon Cleaves made the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.78 but did not compete in the nationals because of a past injury.

The Bethel women took eighth place in the 4x100 meter dash with a time of 48.09. They set a school record with a time of 47.78 in the prelims. The relay was made up of Arille Montague, Jasmine Yancey, Ronnika Garrett, and Desaray Washington.

The 4x400 meter relay placed 20th in the nation with a time of 3.58.42. The relay was made up of Arielle Montague, Jasmine Yancey, Julie-Anne Blanc and Ronnika Garrett.

Arielle Montague ran the 400 with a time of 59.68 and placed 22nd in the nation.

As a team the men finished 53rd in the nation while the women placed 51st.

Coach Matt Aird was pleased with the effort and performance of the Cats and Lady Cats. "All of our athletes ran great and I am really proud of all of them."
