Fraser Kick 55-Yard Field Goal

West Tennessee War Eagle Head Coach Trent Boykin said on his post game radio show Sean Fraser had told him several times if the team gets to the 50-yard line he could make a field goal.

Any doubts the coach may have had were put to rest Saturday at L.L. Fonville Field in Jackson. With just over a minute left in the second quarter the former Bethel soccer and football star kicked a personal best 55-yard field  goal to give the War Eagles a 13-0 lead. The kick shattered his previous best of 53 yards in a game last season and during the NAIA All-Star game this past spring. The kick is also the longest ever at L.L. Fonville Field.

The field goal was one of the special teams highlights the War Eagles used to win 37-0 over the Memphis Blast in the Gridiron Development Football League contest.

Fraser is getting a Master's of Art in teaching at Bethel and coaching in Paris,Tenn.

Two other former Bethel football players contributed in the win. Luke Roth is the holder for Fraser on special teams and handles the punting chores for the War Eagles.Sean McCormick had two sacks from his linebacker position.

The War Eagles are on the road this week as they travel to Huntsville to meet the Hurricanes. They return home the next three weeks and all Bethel fans are invited to come support the team and these former Wildcats.
