Humboldt, Tenn. (07.08.10) The Bethel University Lady Wildcat Golf program signed USJ's Amelia Ray Thursday afternoon. Ray signed with Coach Monte Cunningham's program at her home course, Humboldt Country Club.
Ray was a member of the 2008 Lady Bruin State Championship squad. Her teams won district and regional titles all four years while she attended USJ.
She was also recruited by Lambuth University.
She is the daughter of Bobby and Donna Ray of Humboldt.
Coach Monte Cunningham commented on her decision to attend Bethel. "We are pleased Amelia has chosen Bethel. She is a fine player from a great program. She will excel in the classroom and on the course." Cunningham added, "Amelia is the first player we have ever signed from a private school and we are excited about that."
