Coach Starla Cupples is in her seventh year as head coach of the Lady Wildcats.The Lexington, TN native began her career at Bethel as a student-athlete in the fall of 1999. The 1999 graduate from Lexington High School joined the Lady Wildcats Volleyball and Softball teams as a freshman.

Cupples majored in Kinesiology/Physical Education in her undergraduate studies. Starla was second-team All-Conference two years in softball. On the court, she played the outside hitter and opposite postions.

As a graduate assistant in 2004, Cupples worked  under the guidance of Head Coach Malissa Vaughn. Then, in 2005 she took the reigns as head coach.

This past season was the most successful season in school history.The Lady Cats finished 21-7 on the year. With a conference record of 9-5, Bethel finished in a tie for third  in conference play. Cupples has a 77-80 career mark at Bethel.

Starla, her husband Kevin, and two-year old Aiden reside in McKenzie.
