MCKENZIE, Tenn. - This weekend marked the last regular season games as well as the Regional Playoffs for BU Hockey. Friday night the D1 team took on UMSL. UMSL got out to an early lead scoring on a backdoor play before Ryan Johnsen tied the game on an assist from Adrian Bullard. Late in the 1st UMSL had a Power Play opportunity but it was Bethel's Kadin Ricciardi who scored first shorthanded to give Bethel the lead. However, at the tail end of the Power Play UMSL tied the game and that's how the 2nd would start. In the 2nd UMSL scored two early goals taking a 4-2 lead before Matt Paccagnan found Justin Shimizu in front to pull back to within a goal. It looked like the 3rd would start with Bethel trailing by a goal until UMSL scored with five seconds in the period to regain the two goal lead. The 3rd was back and forth but no one was able to find the back of the net and UMSL took the 5-3 victory.
