The Bethel University Lady Wildcats had an outstanding team last year; they won 23 games and entered the NAIA National Tournament with high hopes of a FAB Four appearance and an opportunity at a national championship. After beating The Masters College in the first round by 15 points and eliminating Baker University in the Sweet 16, it appeared the Lady Cats were playing as well as anyone in the nation heading into the Elite 8. Bethel was eliminated in the Elite 8 against their rival Freed-Hardeman, who would go on to finish National runner-up eventually losing to Oklahoma City. It was a history making year for the program as Bethel was led by WBCA All American Tayla Foster and the program's new 3-pt leader Katie Vandyke. The Lady Cats also had fine play by Keke Drake and Porsha Harris in the post.
