Frey comes to Bethel University after two successful seasons at Illinois
College and will serve as running backs coach in 2025. In 2024, he was part
of the top-ranked scoring offense in all of college football, as the Blueboys
averaged 55.5 points per game and 589 yards of total offense per contest.

In his first season with the Blueboys in 2023, Frey mentored two all-
conference selections – TJ Little and Tanner Spencer. Little also earned all-
region honors. That season, the IC offense averaged 175 rushing yards per
game and 5.0 yards per carry, totaling nearly 2,000 rushing yards. Illinois
College won its first conference championship and qualified for the NCAA
Division III Playoffs, while the offense broke multiple conference and
national records and averaged nearly 50 points per game.

Originally from Bloomington, Indiana, Frey was a three-year starter on the
offensive line at Franklin College, where he played both center and right
guard for the Grizzlies. He graduated from Franklin in 2023 with a bachelor’s
degree in Sports Communications.
