Bethel University Bass Team places Seventh in Bassmasters Tournament
CULLMAN, Ala.- The Bethel University Bass Fishing team placed seventh in the Bassmasters competition held this past Wednesday and Thursday on Smith Lake near Cullman, Alabama.
Bethel team members Harrison Terry and partner Jordan Hampton had five fish limits on both days of the competition for a total weight of 27 lbs., 13 ounces.
This finish placed the two Bethel anglers in seventh place for the tournament and sealed their spot to fish in the prestigious Bassmasters College National Championship this upcoming Summer.
The national championship location and date will be announced later this spring.
"We have already qualified one Bethel team for the national championship back in January at the Harris Chain of Lakes and now we have two boats qualified. That's really awesome," said Coach Garry Mason. Mason added, "We are very proud of Harrison and Jordan. They have worked really hard to gain this qualification and we wish them all the best in the national championship."
The tournament at Smith Lake had over 250 boats competing for the two-day event and was held on February 26-27.
