Cats to Battle No. 10 Georgetown Saturday in Crisp
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats play host to the No. 10 Georgetown Tigers Saturday with tip-off in Crisp Arena slated for 3 p.m.
After their 81-59 loss to the University of the Cumberlands Thursday the Cats are 12-9 overall and 8-8 in the MSC.
The Tigers are 18-4 and 12-4. Georgetown loss at Freed-Hardeman Thursday, falling 72-56 to the Lions.
Earlier this month, the Tigers beat the Wildcats 91-65 in Georgetown. Georgetown led 43-30 at the half and outscored the Wildcats 48-35 in the second half to secure the victory.
Bethel shot 32 percent in the game and hit seven three-pointers. The Cats were 10-of-16 from the free throw line. Georgetown had a 49-45 rebound margin in the game.
Dimitrije Stojanovic led the Cats with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Tyler Neely had 12 points. The Tigers shot 45 percent from the field and hit six three pointers. GC was 11-of-18 from the free throw line. Kyran Jones had game highs of 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Tigers.
It will be the 13th meeting between the two programs with Georgetown holding an 9-3 margin in the series.
