Tough Second Half Cost Cats
WILBERFORCE, OH –After falling at No. 16 Thomas More Thursday, the Bethel Wildcats had hoped to bounce back at Wilberforce Saturday afternoon but a poor second half was the undoing of the Cats as they fell to the Bulldogs, 96-82.
The game was tied at 42 at halftime but the home team outscored the Wildcats 54-40 in the second half.
Official and complete stats were not made available for the game.
Bethel was led by Querrion Gadson who had a game high 33 points. Gadson also had four steals in the contest. Jose Nazario finished with 16 points and a team high nine rebounds. Tyler Neely tossed in 13 points for the Wildcats.
The Cats dropped to 13-12 overall and 9-11 in the MSC. The Bulldogs improved to 3-22 and 2-18.
The Wildcats return home Thursday to face Cumberland University at 7:30 p.m. The regular season finale will see senior ceremonies take place before tip-off.
