Cats Face Tough Road Trip

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Bethel Wildcats will attempt to bounce back from a home loss to Freed-Hardeman with a tough road trip awaiting them Thursday and Saturday.

The Cats (16-5, 2-3) meet No. 6 Cumberlands (KY) Thursday at 6:30 p.m. CST. Bethel is 4-1 in road action on the season.

Chauncey Hughes III leads Bethel by scoring 16.3 points per game. D J Starr averages 10.4 points per outing while Ethan Turner pops in 10.1 and leads the team in rebounding at six per game.

The Wildcats average 79.9 and yield 73.6 points per game.

The No. 6 Pats are 17-3 overall and 2-2 in the MSC. Cumberlands is 10-0 at home this year. UC is coming off a home win over Georgetown.

UC has four players averaging in double figures with Kyle Duke leading the group at 21.7 per game.

Bethel beat the Patriots 80-69 back on January 8 in McKenzie. UC leads the all-time series 8-2. Bethel is 1-4 in Williamsburg.

The Cats will move on to No. 18 Georgetown on Saturday for another MSC showdown.
