Cats and Cougars Finish in a Tie in Columbia
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Bethel University Wildcat men's soccer squad traveled to Columbia, Missouri Friday for a showdown against the Columbia Cougars.
The Wildcats and the Cougars fought to a 1-1 deadlock.
Bethel moved to 1-0-1 while Columbia finished the night 2-1-1.
A first period score by Bethel's Jaun Diego Corral accounted for Bethel's lone score. Javaine Lindsay was credited with the Wildcat assist. The Cougars had a first period goal to tie the match.
Bethel outshot the Cougars 14-12 and had an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Diego Camargo recorded two saves for the Wildcats.
