Bethel Track Sets Records in Arkansas Alumni Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. - The Bethel University Men and Women's Wildcats Track team had a great showing at the Arkansas Alumni Classic in Jonesboro. Two school records were broken along with some personal records and seasonal bests.

William Adkins broke the first school record in the 800-meter race with a time of 1:53.38. Hendrix Calhoun broke the other school record in the discus with a distance of 45.93 meters. Calhoun also threw a personal best in the shot put with a distance of 13.45 meters. Calhoun threw the Javelin with a distance of 39.67 Meter.

Frederick Moore and Justice Bishop started the Wildcats off for the running events with the 200-meter race. Moore finished with a 22.98 and Bishop with a 23.54. Moore and Bishop also finished with the last running events of the day in the 100 Meter. Moore ran a time of 11.05 and Bishop ran a season best of 11.21.

Cody Farmer threw a personal best in the javelin with a distance of 39.52 meters.

Kyler Corder ran a season best in the 400- meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.34. Corder also jumped a season best in the long jump with distance of 5.92 meters.

Khristina Parker jumped a season best in the long jump with a distance of 4.45 meters.

Cedrion Cook placed 2nd overall in the men's 5,000-meter race with a time of 15:56.61.

Hayden Padgett and Carson Warman placed 5th and 6th in the 5,000-meter race. Padgett had a time of 17:13.88 and Warman ran a season best with a time of 18:35.74.

Loukas Charalampous ran 54.32 in the 400-meter race.

San'Darius Coleman placed 1st in his heat of the 800- meter and ran a season best with a time of 1:58.48.

Chandler Roberson placed 2nd in his heat and ran a personal best with a time of 1:59.99

Owen Crocker placed 4th in his heat and ran a personal best with a time of 2:01.68.

Coach Wes Bradshaw said "I am extremely happy and proud of the new school record holders, they have worked hard, and their hard work is paying off. The team as a whole has been working incredibly hard, and we are gearing up for our conference event next week. I am proud of everyone's growth, and I'm looking forward to seeing what new school records and personal records we can achieve in the conference championship."
