Men’s Cross-Country Preview

MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The Bethel Wildcats Men's Cross-Country team returns a strong core of athletes this season, building on last year's momentum. Although the team bids farewell to four key seniors—Braden Wallace, Carson Warman, Benard Koech, and Brantley Jent—their impact will be long remembered and their leadership greatly missed.

Leading the returners is senior Cedrion Cook, coming off his best season yet. Cook led the varsity squad last year and looks to build on that success in the upcoming season. Juniors San'Darius Coleman and Hayden Padgett, both top seven varsity runners, also return to strengthen the team's competitive edge.

Additionally, juniors Chandler Roberson and Holden Shew are back after missing last season due to injuries. Both will be looking to make strong comebacks. Sophomore Hudson Wallace, who had an impressive debut season as a freshman varsity runner, is expected to continue his upward trajectory this fall.

The Wildcats are also excited to welcome promising newcomers Ryan Coley and Dennis Kipkemboi, who will be competing for spots on the varsity squad.

Coach Wes Bradshaw said, "I am extremely excited for my first year as the head cross country coach. I've had the privilege of assisting Coach Brandon Kilburn for the past eight years here at Bethel. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy, having been with the program since its inception nearly two decades ago. While I have big shoes to fill, I look forward to building on the foundation he established. We have a strong group of athletes who are motivated, competitive, and ready to push themselves. With a solid returning base and talented newcomers, I'm eager to see what we can accomplish—not just individually, but as a united team."
