Softball Continues Road Ventures with Weekend Set at Thomas More

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Bethel Wildcats return to the road this weekend with a four-game set at Thomas More in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. The MSC foes play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. CST. The squads will complete the series Sunday with a twin bill starting at 11 a.m.

Bethel is 2-2 on the road on the season and takes an overall record of 14-8 into the weekend. The Cats are 8-2 in conference action.

The Saints are 5-12 overall and 3-9 in the league. Thomas More is looking for their first home win on the year. They are 0-4 in Crestview Hills.

Bethel is led in hitting by NAIA All-American Melanie Alexander who has a .563 batting average and a slugging percentage of .915. She leads the team in home runs (4), doubles (9), hits (40) RBI's (21), and run scored (22). Alexa Thrasher is second in hits with eighteen. Alexis Wheeler has seventeen hits and three home runs. She leads the Cats with nine stolen bases and second in runs scored with sixteen. Wheeler and Kennedy Gillespie have driven in thirteen runs each.

Madison Locke leads the pitching staff with five wins. Madison Haught had three victories.

Bethel has a team batting average of .309. The Cats have slugged fifteen homers and have forty doubles on the season.
