Lady Wildcats hit Road for MSC Action

PULASKI, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcat softball squad begins a ten-day road trip Friday with a four-game series at Tennessee Southern. The Wildcats and the FireHawks play a doubleheader Friday at 3 p.m. and then conclude the weekend with a twin bill Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Cats are 18-14 overall and 10-8 in MSC. Bethel is 5-5 on the road on the year.

UTS is 14-16 and 9-11. The Hawks are 8-8 in home action.

Melanie Alexander leads the Wildcats hitting .553 on the season. She leads Bethel in hits (57), doubles (15), RBI's ( 28) runs scored (33) and walks ( 11). Alexis Wheeler leads the Wildcats with five home runs. She also has a team leading 13 stolen bases.

Madison Locke leads the pitching staff with six wins.

Shelby Clifton leads UTS with a .352 batting average. She and Samantha King leads the Hawks with 31 hits each. King has a tam leading nine home runs. She also leads UTS with 35 RBI's. Bree Bailey has a team leading ten doubles. Sydney Self leads UTS with 23 runs scored.
