Mid-South Conference Softball Honors Announced
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Mid-South Conference announced its 2022 softball All-MSC teams and individual honors on Thursday.
Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Sophie Dunavant was named the MSC Softball Player of the Year while teammate Brittany Adair earned Pitcher of the Year honors. Lindsey Wilson's Eillie Derrick was voted as the MSC Freshman of the Year.
Bethel's Melanie Alexander was named to the first team. Alexis Wheeler was named to the second team. Gillian Grahn and Maria Murdaugh were named to the honorable mention squad.
Twenty players earned first-team all-conference while an additional 20 mor were named to the conference's second team. Thirteen players earned honorable mention honors.
The player of the year, pitcher of the year, freshman of the year and all-conference selections are voted on by the coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
