Lady Cats Stay Perfect with Statement Win at Home

McKENZIE, Tenn. — The Bethel Lady Cats left no doubt Saturday afternoon inside Crisp Arena, overpowering Texas A&M–San Antonio 91-51 to remain unbeaten and move to 10-0 on the season.

From the opening tip, Bethel looked every bit like a team determined to protect perfection. The Lady Cats exploded for a 32-3 first-quarter lead, combining sharp shooting, relentless rebounding, and suffocating defense that left the Jaguars searching for answers. By halftime, Bethel had built a commanding 57-9 advantage.

Sophomore standout Mikee Buchanan delivered a monster performance, pouring in 27 points on 12-of-18 shooting while controlling the glass with 12 rebounds—her latest double-double in a season full of them. Micah Hart added 16 points and seven rebounds, continuing her steady and efficient play, while MJ Simmons and Adalyn Koelling each chipped in 11. The three-point line was friendly as well, with Bethel knocking down 12 triples, including three from Buchanan and three from Kylie Reynolds, who finished with nine.

Bethel dominated nearly every statistical category—shooting 52.3% from the field, pulling down 51 rebounds, and dishing out 23 assists, a testament to the team's chemistry and unselfish play. Defensively, the Lady Cats forced 17 turnovers and held the Jaguars to just 26.5% shooting, including an ice-cold 0% performance in the opening quarter.

Texas A&M–San Antonio found rhythm late, scoring 42 of its 51 points after halftime, led by Maya Simon's 14, but the early deficit proved far too steep.

For Bethel, the formula remains clear—depth, balance, toughness, and a confidence that grows with every victory.

The Lady Cats stay perfect, streaking into the heart of the season with momentum, identity, and belief. The Cats return to action Tuesday at home against Faulkner University at 2 PM.
