Another MSC Road Test for Lady Wildcats

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The No. 3 Bethel Lady Wildcats face another road test as they meet the (RV) Georgetown Lady Tigers Saturday in Georgetown. Kentucky. Tip-off is slated for noon CT.

Bethel edged out Cumberlands (KY) Thursday in Williamsburg to move to 20-2 overall and 5-1 in the MSC. The Cats are 8-1 in road action this season.

Bethel beat GC 80-61 back on January 10 in Crisp Arena. After a tight opening quarter, Bethel began to separate in the second period, holding Georgetown to just nine points while building a 39–29 halftime lead. The Lady Cats never looked back, outscoring the Tigers 23–16 in the third quarter to extend the margin.

Micah Hart led all scorers with 24 points, knocking down four three-pointers and adding five rebounds. Fellow Sophomore Mikee Buchanan followed with 22 points and nine rebounds, continuing her strong play on the interior.

Madison Hart added eight points and four rebounds.

Bethel finished the game shooting 37.5 percent from three-point range and recorded 18 assists on 27 made field goals, showcasing efficient ball movement and unselfish play. Adalyn Koelling provided a spark off the bench with eight points and six rebounds as the Lady Cats controlled the game on both ends.

Georgetown was paced by Daysha Reid's 19 points and Daisy Gale's 15 points and 10 rebounds, but the Tigers struggled to find consistency offensively, shooting just 32.4 percent from the floor.

Bethel is led by Micah Hart who leads the conference by scoring 20.1 points per game. Buchanan averages 15.3 while Madison Hart pops in 13.0 points per outing.

The Cats average 77.1 while yielding just 60.5 points per game.

The Tigers are 16-5 and 1-4 after falling 89-61 to No. 2 Freed-Hardeman on Thursday. It was GC' s (15-1) first home loss of the year.

Gale leads the Tigers by scoring 16.7 points per game. Reid averages 16.2 points per game. The Lady Tigers average 86.6 and yield 61.0 points per game.
