Lady Cats Finish Second in FHU Invitational

HENDERSON, Tenn. - On what Bethel Coach Larry Joe Smith calls one of the toughest scoring courses they play all year, The Bethel Lady Wildcats were unable to overcome a three-stroke deficit after day one to finish runner-up at the FHU Fall Invitational.

The Lady Wildcats were 22 strokes better than last year in finishing with identical scores of 322-322. Four Lady Wildcats finished in the top 10 in scoring on the Jack Nicklaus designed 5,900-yard Chickasaw Golf Course in Henderson, Tennessee.

Bethel was one of seven teams competing in the tournament. Freed-Hardeman won the event.

The Lady Wildcats have a quick turnaround as they leave for west of St Louis to the Arnold Palmer designed Spencer T Olin GC and The Missouri Baptist Invite this Sunday through Tuesday.
