Skylar Waller Signs with Bethel University Women's Golf
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Bethel University Women's Golf Coach Larry Joe Smith announced the signing of Skylar Waller of Murray, Kentucky, to continue her academic and athletic career with the Wildcats.
Waller joins Bethel after attending Southeastern University and will enter Bethel as a junior academically in the fall of 2026. A native of Murray, Kentucky, she brings an impressive combination of athletic success, academic achievement, and leadership experience to the Wildcat program.
Waller played high school golf for five years and has competed in the sport since the fifth grade. During her prep career, she earned All-Region honors three times, finished second at the Lady Scotties Invitational, and was a member of state runner-up golf teams in 2023 and 2024. She also helped lead three regional championship teams and qualified individually for the state tournament in eighth grade.
She feels her biggest strength is her competitive nature in golf and playing at a high level in multiple sports.
In addition to her accomplishments on the golf course, Waller excelled in basketball. She was a three-time All-Purchase selection, earned MVP honors at the Regional Tournament in 2025, received the KHSAA State Tournament J.B. Mansfield Award, and was recognized by the Courier Journal for recording the highest free-throw percentage in Kentucky in 2022. She was also honored with the Tom Leach All-Resilience Award.
Academically, Waller maintained a 3.7 GPA and graduated seventh in her high school class. She was selected to attend the Governor's Scholars Program at Centre College in 2024, earned her CNA license in 2025, qualified for HOSA Nationals in Nursing Assisting, and participated in the National Honor Society.
Waller is the daughter of Valerie Waller.
Bethel University welcomes Skylar to the Wildcat family and looks forward to her contributions both in the classroom and on the golf course.
