Women’s Soccer Loses Home Heartbreaker
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The short-handed Bethel Lady Wildcats fought hard but fell 2-1 to (RV) Campbellsville Tuesday night in McKenzie.
Due to injuries, several Lady Cats were unable to play.
The Lady Tigers held a 1-nil lead at the break.
Bethel's Briley Ross tied the game at the 56:44 mark but Campbellsville scored the decisive game winner at the 71:37 mark.
Both teams had 12 shots. Bethel had a 3-2 margin in shots on goal.
It was the 11TH meeting in the series with Campbellsville holding a 6-4 margin between the two.
The Lady Wildcats fell to 2-7 overall and 1-1 in the MSC.
Campbellsville improved to 6-6 and 2.1
The Lady Cats return to action Saturday traveling to No. 19 Georgia Gwinnett with play beginning at 2:30 p.m. CST.
