Lady Cats Draw a tie at No. 19 Georgia Gwinnett

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.-The Bethel Lady Wildcats played well enough to win at No. 19 Georgia Gwinnett Saturday but in the end had to settle for a 2-2 against the Grizzlies.

A first period unassisted goal by Paula Pinilla gave Bethel the lead. Georgia Gwinnett tied the game in the last minute of the period.

Bethel took the lead again at the 66:37 minute mark on a goal by Zainab Manneh. The home team, however, scored 15 minutes later and the game ended knotted at 2-2.

GGC had a 9-7 margin in shots. The teams each had five shots on goal.

Estelle Olive recorded three saves in net for the Cats.

The Lady Cats are 2-7-1 while Georgia Gwinnett is 6-3-3 on the year,

Bethel returns home Friday to host Cumberland University at 4:30 p.m.
