La Rue & Lady Cats Get Big Road Win at Georgetown
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Bethel Lady Wildcat soccer squad picked up a big confidence building road win at Georgetown Friday night, pinning the Tigers 3-0.
Audrey LaRue, a young lady from the Commonwealth, was the star of the game with three goals.
LaRue's first period goal gave the Cats a 1-nil lead at the break. The score stayed just that until LaRue scored again at the 82:32 mark. Zainab Manneh had the assist. Two minutes LaRue struck again after an assist from Rose Boichat.
LaRue has six goals on the year and leads the Cats in scoring.
Bethel had a 19-7 advantage in shots and a 12-5 margin in shots on goal.
Estelle Olive recorded five saves in the match.
Bethel moved to 2-2 in league play and 3-8-1 overall. The Tigers fell to 6-7-1 and 1-4 in the MSC.
Bethel returns to play Tuesday against another conference foe traveling to Lindsey Wilson for a 5 p.m. matchup versus the Blue Raiders. It will be the 16th meeting between the two programs with LWC holding a 12-3 margin in the series.
