Wildcats Edge Tigers in Five-Set Thriller

GEORGETOWN, Ky. - The Bethel Lady Wildcats battled through a tense five-set road match to earn a 3–2 victory over Georgetown on Saturday night. With the win, Bethel improved to 7-10 overall and 2-4 in the MSC while Georgetown fell to 2-15 and 0-6.
The victory enabled the Lady Cats to snap a four-game losing streak.
Bethel's attack was led by Kennedi Morrison, who had an outstanding performance, hitting .156 with 12 kills and five digs. Katie Pennington followed closely with 11 kills, a .286 hitting percentage, and one block to help the Wildcats maintain offensive balance.
Setter Emma Fistarol orchestrated the offense with 51 assists and added nine digs, while Clara Feresin contributed seven kills and strong play on the right side.
Defensively, Camila Sandoval anchored the back row with 14 digs, and Emma Cart chipped in seven kills and six digs.
Head Coach Michele Cunha praised her team's resilience. "We stayed composed in the big moments," Cunha said. "Every player stepped up when it mattered most. Bethel sealed the victory in the decisive fifth set with clutch serving and a late kill from Morrison to close out the 15–12 finish.
Bethel returns to action Tuesday playing host to Cumberland University. Action begins at 7 p.m.
