Volley Cats Close Season with Four-Set Win Over Georgetown

MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel University Volleyball team capped off its 2025 regular season campaign on a high note Saturday afternoon, earning a 3–1 victory over the Georgetown Tigers inside Crisp Arena. The Wildcats took the match by scores of 25–17, 25–19, 23–25, and 25–17 to finish the year at 10-15 overall and 4-8 in the MSC.

Sophomore outside hitter Kennedi Morrison powered the Bethel offense, recording 16 kills and three service aces for a match-high 19 points. Fellow sophomore Emma Fistarol was efficient at the net with 11 kills and a strong .308 attack percentage, while Katie Pennington added 11 kills, four aces, and 20 digs for a balanced two-way performance.

Setter Camila Sandoval directed the offense with 25 assists and chipped in seven digs, while sophomore Mackenzie McCammon contributed 16 assists and 10 digs off the bench. Defensively, Clara Sestini anchored the back row with a team-high 20 digs, helping keep long rallies alive as Bethel's defense frustrated the Tigers throughout.

After opening with back-to-back set wins, the Wildcats stumbled in the third frame as Georgetown edged them 25–23 to stay alive. But Bethel regrouped in dominant fashion, hitting a match-best .414 in the fourth set to close out the win in convincing style.

As a team, Bethel tallied 47 kills on a .148 hitting percentage, with 13 service aces and 12 total blocks. Georgetown was limited to 39 kills and a .067 attack percentage.

With the win, the Volley Cats wrapped up the regular season with momentum and, sending their season into the Mid-South Conference Tournament next week.
