Bethel Women’s Cross Country Competes at Panther Prowl Classic
OWENSBORO, Ky. - Bethel University Women's Cross Country team showed grit and determination Friday evening at the Panther Prowl Cross Country Classic, hosted at Yellow Creek Park.
The Lady Wildcats opened the season strong, with multiple runners achieving season-best times in the 5k.
- Monserratt Serrano Rodriguez led the way, finishing 6th overall with a season-best time of 19:47.
- Shelci Caballero followed with a time of 22:16, placing 25th overall.
- Addison Roberson ran a season best of 24:38, finishing 36th overall.
- Sharon Cherop recorded a season best of 29:11, finishing 46th overall.
Although the Lady Wildcats did not record a full team score, their performances highlighted both experience and new talent as Serrano provided veteran leadership while Caballero, Roberson, and Cherop gained valuable early season racing experience.
Coach Wes Bradshaw praised the women's performance:
"The ladies cross country team had several season-best times. I'm proud of their hard work and the effort they've been putting in—it's clearly paying off. I look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the races to come."
The Lady Wildcats return to action Rhodes Invitational on Sept. 20th.
