Wildcats Lose Exhibition at Arkansas State
JONESBORO, Ark. – The Bethel Wildcats traveled to Jonesboro for an exhibition affair with Arkansas State Sunday afternoon.
The Red Wolves proved to be too much for the Cats, winning 90-65. ASU moved to 4-3 on the season.
The Wildcats led 17-16 with nine minutes left in the first half but the Red Wolves outscored the Cats 28-10 to lead 44- 27 at the half. ASU had a 46-38 margin in the second half and coasted to the win.
Bethel shot 43 percent from the floor while ASU shot 58 percent from the field. The Cats hit six three-pointers. The Red Wolves knocked down eight treys. The Wolves had a 34-28 advantage in rebounds.
Querrion Gadson led Bethel with 13 points. Keyshawn Kennedy followed with ten tallies.
Malcolm Farrington was one of five ASU players in double figures and had a game high 18 points.
Bethel returns to regular season and league play Thursday traveling to Lindsey Wilson. Tip-off in Columbia is slated for 7:30 p.m.
