Soccer Cats Opened MSC Action with Dominating Win at Freed-Hardeman
HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats opened league play Saturday against rival Freed-Hardeman in Henderson.
Behind a spectacular performance by Gregory Cousins, the Cats won in convincing fashion, taking a 6-1 victory over the Lions.
Cousins had the hat trick scoring three times. He also had two assists.
Souleymane Balde scored twice and added two assists.
Horace Avila Jr. scored a goal and two assists.
Javaine Lindsay was also credited with an assist for the Cats.
The Wildcats had a 12-3 advantage in shots on goal and 21-7 margin in shots.
Diego Camargo had two saves in net for the Wildcats.
Bethel moved to 5-0-1 and 1-0 in the MSC. FHU is 8-2-1 and 0-2.
Bethel has never lost to the Lions, moving to 18-0 all-time in the series.
The Wildcats return home Tuesday to host Campbellsville at 7:30 p.m.
